Introducing Our Bands for 2026:
Gabba Zappa Hey!
Gabba Zappa Hey! are: Graham 'no E in' Davis (guitar & lead vox); Did 'not Dom' Dilley (drums & vox); and Serge 'so F in' Wilde (bass & vox).
A London-based high-energy tribute act that reimagines Frank’s complex compositions in a punk-rock stylee, initially created by the band Mint Douche in 2016 for what they thought was a one-off gig at Mike Fox's yearly Zappadan celebrations in a sports pavilion in Acton.
Since then, Gabba Zappa Hey! have played Mosae Zappa (2017), Zappanale (2018), a bunch more Zappadan Zappajams and MOO-AH (2019) in stripped-down form as Gabba Zappa Busk!; we are very happy, if a little confused, as to why they have agreed to come back this year.
They have released two albums you can download for nowt: Hey Punk (2017) and And If You Don't Like It You Can F**k Off (2018). You can also hear their version of Masked Grandma on the Idiot-compiled album Lost Meat: 100% Zappa Rareness (Cordelia Records, 2019).
At MOO-AH, expect to hear fast-paced Zappa with the raw energy of The Ramones, The Stranglers, The Clash and early Sheena Easton, mixed with a healthy dollop of SHUT THE F@%K UP!
