Introducing Our Bands for 2026:
Treacherous Cretins
The Treacherous Cretins are: Sam Ward (guitar & vox); John Parkinson (drums); Alessandro Taglione (bass); Jen Parkinson (keys & vox); and Ollie Hill (trombone & vox).
The band formed in London in 2018 and strives to represent a broad spectrum of Zappa’s music and expose it to new fans.
Between 2023 and 2025, the band toured and recorded with Zappa alumnus Robert ‘Bobby’ Martin. They have also recorded with Ray White, Craig 'Twister' Steward, Ed Palermo and German percussionist Martin Hennecke. You should check out their Bandcamp page, as well as their YouTube channel for the bands concerts at Zappanale, the 100 Club and much, much more.
To date, the band have played Zappanale twice and MOO-AH once (in 2019 - their first ever gig as the Cretins; Jen and John had previously played the festival as part of Acton Zappa), and we are excited to have them back this year.
At MOO-AH, expect a generous helping of Zappa songs seldom played live by other bands, as well as plenty of fan favourites.
